The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has protected Atiku Abubakar’s nonappearance at a gathering held for his running mate, Peter Obi, in Awka the Anambra State capital.

Director General of the Atiku/Obi Campaign Council in the state, Dr. Harry Oranezi, told newsmen on Tuesday that Atiku was not figured into the program.

This followed intimations by critics of the PDP that Atiku intentionally avoided the between denominational Church benefit/gathering held for Obi at the end of the week.
