Wife of Ondo State Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has been honoured as the Yeye Atunluse Oodua by the Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide.

Receiving the award today at the Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, the First Lady, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu appreciated the organisation for taking cognizance of the newest development trend in the State, stressing that they are well informed about the transformational projects being implemented by the Arakunrin administration, while urging them to utilise their access to the social media to direct public opinion, shun falsehood and correct misconceptions, misinformation or fake news about the government.

Arabinrin also encouraged them to embrace an all-inclusive society, that guarantees gender equity and transformation, adding that her programmes have potentials to be replicated nationwide.

Speaking earlier, the Leader of the delegation, Mr. Segun Nelson, who spoke on behalf of the Council, acknowledged the support Her Excellency has been extending to her husband’s administration through numerous life changing programmes, with the aim of building a better Ondo State and society at large.

He said the award bestowed on Her Excellency is in recognition of her performance to the development of the society, while imploring her to extend such services to other States in the South West and Nigeria in general.
