We Didn’t Abduct Melaye: DSS by edunwablog: 5:09am On Jan 12, 2019
Department of State Services(DSS) confirmed on Friday night that Senator Dino Melaye has been moved from the Police Clinic in Area 1, Garki, Abuja to its medical facility in the city.

In a statement on Friday night the DSS denied that its men abducted Melaye from the police hospital.

The DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya, said the abduction story was far from the truth.

“The fact is that it was the Police that brought him to the DSS facility after obtaining a 14-day detention warrant with effect from 9th January, 2019. The aim of bringing him to the Service’s facility is to complement Police efforts in giving the Senator a deserved medical attention.

“Consequently, the Service, in line with medical ethics and spirit of inter-agency cooperation, accepted him. This clarification has become necessary in order to address the false allegation that hooded men suspected to be DSS operatives abducted the Senator from the Police hospital.

Melaye was arrested in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Kogi state in July.

He surrendered to the police after a week of being holed up in his house in Abuja.

I wish a more dignified person was involved here. At least some semblance of pity can be whipped up or at best we can say that this government is persecuting the innocent which may help our cause in removing APC from office in the coming election. This situation means nothing to me. Dino Melaye will always remain a joke and I can't help but feel that the world will be a much better place if he was locked up permanently.

That is where Sen. Melaye can have the badly needed solitude to rescue him from the inanities of the insane that had become his trademark overtime!

Don't mind the mofo!

He should spend a long time in prison for attempted murder, he's gonna be more wiser and guided when he comes out.

Criminal.

Unfortunately the dummy target audience falls for it.

Still wondering what the buzz is all about.

They got a valid warrant of arrest, detention order from a valid court.

Same court that grants people who stole money bail against the Federal Govt’s wish.

Dino even approached a court to lift the warrant of arrest but was denied.

Let him face his music.

The mistake the police made was not gunning down or at least dragging this criminal on the floor the very minute he resisted arrest at the beginning like they would any other Nigerian.

I know it won't affect you as you are just a clueless supporter online but those who have declare war on democracy may be pay back in due time as power is not permanent. and when they are being paid back, there will be no laws to protect them because they have succeeded in destroying the rule of law

DSS should allow police to do their work and police should be straight forward with the case not just beating around the bush because they want to be earning money

“The fact is that it was the Police that brought him to the DSS facility after obtaining a 14-day detention warrant with effect from 9th January, 2019. The aim of bringing him to the Service’s facility is to complement Police efforts in giving the Senator a deserved medical attention.
