Ever since Ole took over, its today that I took time to watch Manu's game, they where not fantastic, good and fine, they won, a special thanks to the man in between the sticks. |

Angelfrost:Chelsea's problem this season has bin lack of a prolific striker...besides dat d overall play of d team has bin spot-on. Sarri has bin greatly impactful. Remember even an average coach like RDM won d champions league wit chelsea afta takin over 4rm AVB. OGS hasn't even had up 2 10 EPL matches nd u nd oda man-u fans alike r already drawin hasty conclusions...NOTE: dis is his 1st nd only big test so far nd it was obviously nt a convincing win. I can assure u Man-u fans will eventually b humbled... 1 Like

WHOSCORED.COM PLAYER RATINGS Manchester United earned a sixth consecutive win under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a 1-0 win at Wembley thanks in huge part to their goalkeeper, as well as some poor Tottenham finishing. We take a look at the WhoScored.com player ratings from the game, explaining the reasons behind the scores awarded. TOTTENHAM - 6.71 Hugo Lloris - 8.01: While his opposite number stole the plaudits it was a noteworthy performance from Lloris too, who produced six saves in total, including a string of strong stops from compatriot Paul Pogba. Kieran Trippier - 7.37: Dealt with Anthony Martial relatively well, producing five tackles in all while creating three chances but will be disappointed in his role in United’s winner. Toby Alderweireld - 6.42: Hit and miss with his trademark long diagonal balls and saw a good chance well saved by De Gea. Defensively had relatively little to do. Jan Vertonghen - 6.40: A little exposed at times in the first half of his comeback from injury, looking a little rusty. No real chance to show his quality after the break as Spurs took control. Ben Davies - 6.32: Failed to offer much in an attacking sense having been given the nod over Danny Rose as Tottenham pushed for a leveller. Harry Winks - 6.60: Improved after the interval having left the defence exposed to the counter at times in the first half, ending the match with five tackles and a 98 per cent pass accuracy. Squandered a decent early chance and blazed over wildly twice thereafter. Moussa Sissoko - 6.44: Was busy prior to an injury sustained in the first half, breaking up play well at times and offering drive from midfield. Christian Eriksen - 6.93: Some delicate passes to open up the United defence in the second half but all in all a frustrating display. Created three chances but misplaced 20 of 73 passes. Dele Alli - 6.36: Picked up strong goalscoring positions with his movement but had to score with Tottenham’s best chance in the second half when put through one on one. Attempted four shots in all. Son Heung-Min - 6.78: A subdued display by his recent standards, mustering just two shots in Tottenham’s second half onslaught. Harry Kane - 7.15: Influential to Spurs second half barrage, linking up play well but on another day could have had a hat-trick, in part due to De Gea’s heroics but more down to weak finishing by his standards, having had seven shots in total. Subs: Erik Lamela - 6.21: Failed to make an impact, Fernando Llorente - 6.30: A handful but squandered a decent late chance MANCHESTER UNITED - 7.10 David de Gea - 9.08: (Man of the Match): Manchester United’s last line of defence proved to be unbeatable, producing the most saves in a single Premier League game this season (11). Stops he would have expected to make but two with his feet in particular that many others wouldn’t. Ashley Young - 6.73: Performed well enough defensively but couldn’t retain possession, with a dismal 53 per cent pass accuracy. Victor Lindelof - 6.94: Stuck to Kane well in the first half but struggled to cope with the Spurs striker in the second at times. Won three aerial duels. Phil Jones - 7.10: As committed and at times clumsy as ever, ultimately got the job done with two tackles and a 90 per cent pass accuracy. Luke Shaw - 7.27: The most impressive of United’s defence over the course of the game, chipped in with two tackles and four times as many clearances as either of his centre-backs (. Nemanja Matic - 7.18: Appeared to be in control in the first half but became a little overrun in the second, nevertheless breaking up play with three tackles and two interceptions. Ander Herrera - 7.50: Played an important defensive role once more and is becoming a key player again under Solskjaer, with two tackles, three interceptions and a solid 89 per cent pass accuracy. Paul Pogba - 8.37: United’s most impressive outfielder showed immense quality at times once more, not least with a sumptuous pass to set up the winner. Hit the target with five of six shots, completed four dribbles and created three chances. Jesse Lingard - 6.47: Showed good responsibility out of possession, particularly in the build up to the goal, but had little impact on the ball from an attacking sense. Anthony Martial - 6.82: Faded after a lively start but worked hard before his withdrawal, mustering two shots, two key passes and winning all three of his aerial duels. Marcus Rashford - 7.49: Finished superbly when put through for what proved to be the match winner to score four the fourth league start in five under Solskjaer but was understandably restricted to a more defensive role after the break. Subs: Romelu Lukaku - 6.05: Offered a necessary out ball but little else, Diego Dalot - 6.36: Brought on to see the game out, Scott McTominay - 6.03 - no time. 5 Likes 1 Share |
