C&I Leasing Plc is currently recruiting to fill the vacant position of a Deck Hand for a Mobile Operator client who offers consumer, digital and business services.

Minimum Qualification
Waec/Equivalent;
1-2-year experience boat operation.
Fluent in English.

Experience and Training
Swimming and rescue of man overboard
Ability to do rope and anchor works
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others
Experience working in a small to medium organization

Training:
General boat hull operation
General safety training
Outboard Engine management

Task
To assist the Boat Captain.
Boat Errands prioritization.
Preparation of boat engines for a hitch frees sailing.
Preparation of berthing ropes for berthing and cast off
Assist the boat Captain achieve safety targets.
Timely serving of life jackets to boat users
Provide support to passengers during boarding and disembarking.
Provide support to Boat Captain as may be required.
No incident of missing items on board.
Prepare boat for fueling and repair/maintenance.
Prepare boat for sailing.
Ready availability of fuel for sailing always.
Any other duties that may be assigned in the course of boat operation

Boat Management
Ensure boat interior and exterior is clean and ready for operation
Fueling the boat and ensure there is no spillage on board that could cause fire.
Positioning of fire extinguisher accordingly during fueling.
Safeguard any action that may lead to breach of safety procedures on board.
Initiate orders to replenish boat cleaning material on board and document renewal
Keep records of manifest, log and maintenance book on board.
Check boat records and report to the boat Captain on the expiry dates of documents, fire extinguishers and other auxiliaries on board.
Render support in Performing quarterly boat operations, etc.
