Hemorrhoid also referred to as pile is a condition in which the veins in your anus and lower rectum are swollen. It is a source of discomfort and is very common. According to mayo clinic, 3 out 4 adults will have hemorrhoid. Although there is no particular cause of hemorrhoid, but it can be caused by straining during bowel movements, obesity or pregnancy.
Hemorrhoids can either be internal or external. The former develops within the rectum why the latter develops outside the anus.
