Adesanya was born in lagos and trained in taekwondo as a youth but was stopped by his mother after breaking his arm. He signed with the UFC in december 2017 and has had a total of 15 wins in 15 fights in the mixed martial arts scene, with 4 of those fights coming in the UFC, Adesanya is scheduled to fight Anderson silva who is an all time great of the middleweight division in the UFC on February 10 2019.
