We have two major issues as Africans, an identity crisis and psychological homelessness. We hate our Africanity. Even within the Black consciousness community we are still anti-African because deep down within our subconscious, we were all conditioned by the same superstructure that made us feel that Africa wasn't anything worth claiming. We lack that cultural commitment to ourselves.

The art piece speaks about surrender , about fighting against all the things that would have us steal our unity, our identity, our "Africanism" by coming together in solidarity and stand as one, as what we truly are, as Africa.

I believe, it's something we have to be prepared to do veraciously and passionately; to surrender, not to anyone other than ourselves because until we hate racism, more than we hate each other; nothing is ever going to change.
