Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari and his counterpart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar have refused to attend the presidential debate. The presidential debate, which is organised by the Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) is currently holding in Abuja However, one highlight of the debate is the news that Atiku Abubakar was sighted outside the Congress Hall of the Hilton, venue of the presidential debate. Atiku later tweeted that he would like to debate Buhari on a later date. Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Oby Ezekwesili of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) and Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) are all in attendance.
