Niger Delta Group Endorses PMB For Second Term by deomelo: 3:34am On Jan 21, 2019

The people of Niger Delta region, under the auspices of the United Niger Delta People (UNDP) have endorsed the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari. This is even as an advocacy group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Rivers Unity House (RUH) has raised the alarm over a plot by member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chima TOS Anaele, to smear the image of the Director-General of President Buhari Campaign Organization, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Leader of UNDP, High Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe, disclosed this at the weekend in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, while speaking at a rally organised by the group to mobilise support for Buhari. The mini-rally was attended by former governors, former speakers of the House of Assembly and other leaders, drawn from the nine states in the Niger Delta region. Sara-Igbe stated that it was the resolution of the people of the nine states that make up the Niger Delta region to support the President in his effort to contest for another term in office. Meanwhile, the RUH also alleged that Anaele is plotting to smear the image of the embattled APC governorship candidate in Rivers State, Pastor Tonye Cole. The group accused Anaele of publishing a fake news report with the caption; ‘Amaechi Set Me Up Deliberately For Humiliation – Tonye Cole” where he quoted the APC governorship hopeful as saying he would take consequential steps against Amaechi. RUH, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday by its Convener, Kingsley Wenenda Wali, stated that Cole neither granted an interview nor reacted in any form to any judicial pronouncement. The statement reads in part; “Our attention has been drawn to a fake publication purportedly authored by one Chima TOS Anaele that is currently trending on the social media. We have discovered that the said Chima TOS Anaele is linked to the opposition. “The fake news report captioned, “Amaechi Set Me Up Deliberately For Humiliation – Tonye Cole” quotes the APC flag bearer as saying he would take consequential steps against the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi. “We would have simply overlooked the publication because the said report is the creation of a disturbed mind. However, we have been compelled by a strong need to expose the devilish plan of the wicked and their paymasters. “Our reaction is based on the discovery of a plot by desperate and cowardly office seekers who hate civil engagement and have decided to employ the services of fake news peddlers who have been undergoing training. The aim is to slant public opinion through the deliberate manipulation and spread of fake news. “We have also discovered through well-placed sources in their midst that millions of naira belonging to tax payers have been spent on the training, equipment and sustenance of those who are required for this operation. “We wish to state categorically that given the desperation that opponents of Pastor Tonye Cole are exhibiting, we are in no way surprised at how low they can fly. They are in shock and awe of the TDC phenomenon. “Thus far, we are aware that all reactions to the legal tussle have come from the desk of the official spokesman for the Campaign Organisation who has responsively responded to issues where the need exists. And like Michelle Obama will say, when they fly low, we fly high. We shall refuse to dwell in their area of competence- pigsty. “For the records, we wish to state unequivocally that Pastor Tonye Cole has neither granted an interview nor reacted in any form to any judicial pronouncement. Members of the public are kindly requested to ignore the fake news report which is trending on social media platforms. “They are lies from the pit of hell that all reasonable persons must disregard. It is proof of how insecure those who are scared of fair competition have become. “They have dragged Pastor Cole to court when meeting him on the campaign ground would have been the best thing to do. They have put legal impediments on the way when decency and decorum would have

There's no need for long epistles, how is it possible that this group started existing few hours ago and only for this news? We know how the APC is lobbying and seeking cheap endorsements everywhere, even paying inexistent groups to show solidarity. This only shows the extent of how the broom wielding party have lost value grin
