The Akwa Ibom State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) has submitted a request to the Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) seeking for the University’s manpower support in the forth-coming 2019 Elections.

In a statement signed un-behalf of the INEC REC, Mrs. Arit Eschor spelt some of the criteria for the recruitment to include:
- Students, other than those in their first and final years are preferred.
- Each interested student should apply by collecting and completing the recruitment form from the VC’s office.
- Their respective Heads of Department or a Senior Lecturer is to serve as a Referee in attestation of good character.
