A 20-day-old baby girl was buried alive for three hours in northern India but miraculously survived after locals heard her cries and dug her out from the cold earth.

Police say the parents had buried the baby on the instructions of an occult. The occult allegedly told them their baby was possessed by evil spirits.

Residents in Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh in northern India heard the cries of the infant on Friday evening, when temperatures had dropped to just 37F (3C).

They quickly dug her frigid body out and rushed her to a hospital where her condition was stabilised.

If she wasn't possessed before, they can be sure she's no longer that innocent baby anymore.

What double standards.

So the hospital was quick to admit & attend to the baby without paperwork but will reject armed robbery victims with gunshot wounds to bleed out & die on the pavement until paperwork is provided.
