Chapter One
On a bright Friday Morning, Yetunde was by the road side glimmering in a radiant blue gown. Her skin looks captivating like a freshly baked brownie and her body shape appealing to every eye that beholds her. Yetunde is the only daughter of Chief Orolade the great Cocoa farmer of Egba land. She has lost her mother at birth and since then her father has decided to keep the legacy of his wife by refusing to marry someone else and promised to pay intimate attention on his daughter. Yetunde flagged down the incoming yellow Nissan jeep. The car parked by the road side and Jide came out of the car towards yetunde. Jide was a lanky handsome young man, though shabbily dressed, the car He parked did the apparel for Him. With every motion towards yetunde, her heart quakes and quaver stirring up a pressure that resulted into goose pimples that were as big a lump as a typical boil all over her body. Jide opened his mouth and said to yetunde; Angel, you did stopped me, are you going toward oda market?. Yetunde stuttered and said yeee-eee-essss I am, with a convincing smile. The Gentleman opened the door for her and she entered in silently. Jide started driving and kept staring at the carefully orchestrated beauty sitted beside him. For the next 20 minutes, they never spoke any word to one another and when they started seeing Oda market close ahead, Yetunde lost her chills as a modest and well brought up lady and said to Jide, Do you like music? Jide replied her that He does. They started relating concerning various genres of music and they couldn’t stop talking even when they got to Oda market. Yetunde alighted from the car and had left quite a distance from the car though sluggishly when Jide opened the door and started running towards her. Jide asked for her contact and they exchanged contacts. They both paid a carefully and lustful observation on one another the last time before they departed. Jide went back into his car while Yetunde went to her Father’s store to oversee the procurement of the day.

Jide got home to drop Dr Okoro’s car at the garage after bringing it in from the repair shop. He was whistling and smacking his lips because of his experience with Yetunde. He has never felt that way in a long while and thought he has found the other pair of his shoes. Right at the garage, he had wedded Yetunde, they have had three kids and he could even see one of the kids having his own kind of teeth dentition. He has been consumed in this thought that he couldn’t hear the broad masculine voice of Dr Okoro his boss. Dr Okoro shouted again, Jide! At this moment he suddenly shrugged and snapped back from his fantasy. He replied Dr Okoro and the Dr smiled and told him that he needed to go out that he should take him out. Jide has been Dr Okoro’s driver for about 7 years. Since he graduated from the University and couldn’t get a job his brother told him to come to Egba to work as a driver for Dr Okoro so as to keep the ends hemmed. The Doctor has been more of a companion to Jide than a boss. He gives Jide the respect and regards he is due as a graduate and an elite. The Doctor is a medical Consultant at the Egba Medical Centre where He has been working for the past 12 years.

Chapter two
As the time goes by, Yetunde and Jide continued communication and became intimate starting up an affair though they haven’t seen after their first encounter. Jide made a mistake that love counts as a sin, by telling Yetunde that he works in the Community Bank not revealing the truth about his work. Not knowing this would later haunt him in time to come. They continued their Love voyage and they concluded on a day to physically meet to reflect and commemorate what has been virtual before. They agreed to meet at the ultramodern eatery at the Oda market and later proceed to the Egba Game reserves.
Yetunde was twining her waist as she dance sheepishly to the I.k Dairo jam bellowing from her small cd player at the side of her room. She was smiling towards the mirror as she applied her golden lip stick, she checked herself over again and she quietly said to herself ‘omo you are damn beautiful ‘. She was putting on a white blouse and a green skirt her dad bought for her when he travelled oversees with a high heel shoe that gave a bulwark to her hips to place her buttocks at its curved shape. On the other side, Jide told his boss about his date and asked him for the day off. Jide was dressed in a nice tuxedo and a black jean trouser he was gifted from Dr Okoro. He took his boss car and left the house for the date of the century. On getting to the rendezvous, He already saw Yetunde Smiling with at the entrance of the eatery. They hugged each other and held on for a few minutes with various messages flowing in their reins before they detached from one another. They entered the eatery and sat down to make their order. Suddenly there was an electrical failure in the eatery and everybody thought it was the normal ‘Nepa syndrome’ and there approached the eatery four masked gunmen. They tear gassed the eatery and everyone was unconscious for about 20 minutes. After the effect of the tear gas has subsided on Jide, He opened his eyes carefully and couldn’t find Yetunde. Her bag and phone were still there but she is nowhere to be found. Jide searched all nook and cranny of the eatery but Yetunde was nowhere at sight. The onlookers later narrated the whole plight to the people in the eatery. The harmed men didn’t come to steal anything but they only came to kidnap a young lady said a man. Another man picked up from there that the young lady looks like Chief Orolade’s daughter. This statement took Jide off-balance and he was awoken by the siren of the Egba anti crime police unit. Before he knew what was happening, the police had apprehended him for questioning due to hearsay that he brought the girl that was kidnapped to the eatery. Jide was brought in for questioning and the Chief Orolade was already there stirring up the police department to press and make Jide confess to knowing the whereabouts of Yetunde his daughter. Prior to this time, Yetunde already told his father that she is seeing someone because the father already has suitor’s requests from many of his rich friends and he never wanted to choose for his daughter. Chief Orolade shouted in his local dialect ‘Emu daadaa’ stating that the police should peruse Jide much more to get the whereabouts of Yetunde. Dr Okoro, Jide’s boss was also there pleading and appealing to Jide to tell the police whatever he knows. Jide wept all through his stay at the police station not because of the torture but for his dearly beloved Yetunde who has not been found still. He questioned why this would happen on that great day. He had fantasized how he would propose to Yetunde once they enter the alley way of the game reserve and that resounding mention of YES. All of these fantasies were blown away by the unwarranted kidnap. The investigation was tensed up as the Chief brought in Military personnel from the military cantonment at Abeokuta, the Capital of Ogun state. Everybody became a suspect, the market women, the artisans, the area boys, and everyone who had ever had a slight contact with Yetunde.

At Dr Okoro’s living room, Yetunde was seen been curdled up by the Doctor with smiles and excitement and she gave him a peck with an appraisal saying 'that trick you pulled was awesome'. Where did you even get the kidnappers you used? she questioned. Dr Okoro said he went to Lagos to pay some special security organization to take up the project. They both giggled and smiled together. Dr Okoro has been in love with Yetunde for a long time and he knew about her relationship with Jide his driver. As a matter of fact, he was the one that initiated the prank so as to punish his driver for the death of his wife whom he believed Jide delayed in taking to the hospital at the point of serious labour just because he didn’t check the radiator of the car whether it has water in it. The car started overheating on the way and stopped working. Before they could get to the hospital, the woman died and even though the autopsy revealed that she died of complications, the doctor still couldn’t remove the peg off Jide’s neck. He still blames him for the death though he didn’t kill her. Dr okoro claimed he forgave Jide but the seed of bitterness towards him still continued budding with enough fertilizer supply in his heart. This was the reason he set Jide up with Yetunde and also initiated the kidnap to punish him as well. Dr Okoro who is also a family doctor to Chief Orolade’s family, a channel through which he met Yetunde went to see the Chief and told Him that Jide has told him the whereabouts of His daughter and he would request the permission of the Chief to go over the process without his involvement and that of the security personnel. The Chief permitted Dr Okoro to go over with the process because he trusts him as a family doctor. Yetunde was brought to his father looking worn out and the Doctor advised the Chief to make sure that Jide is properly prosecuted. Jide was told by a police officer that Yetunde has been found and he was happy with a believe that he would be reprimanded from the prison because he knows he is not guilty. Dr Okoro was always at the prison to be a succour of hope to Jide and promising him that he is working on his vanquish. Jide was reassured that he would soon be joined to his delight. Still he never saw any glimpse of Yetunde visiting at all. Even though Yetunde has been having sleepless night because She felt genuinely for Him. Jide’s case proceeded to the court and he was arraigned with charges ranging from, kidnap, attempted murder, and assaults of all kind. Dr okoro brought his lawyer friend from Lagos to defend Chief and he also got a corrupt lawyer for jide who sunk the case and He was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment with hard labour without bail privilege.
Drums were rolling and everyone was dressed in various attires celebrating the newly wedded couple. Yetunde was getting married to Dr Okoro as a goodwill offering by Chief Orolade for saving the life of her daughter. The marriage was the talk of the town for many months, the splendour, beauty, and money lavished was worth a great accolade to the great people of Egba land. The couple enjoyed the privilege of having their honeymoon at the Caribbean and they relocated to settle in Lagos. All were going on smoothly, though yetunde always feel a vacuum within her that only Jide can fill and she always see herself as a bad person for what she had done to Love. The Okoro’s family fared very well and in three years they already had two kids. Yetunde got a job at an accounting firm at the island and things were going on smoothly.
