Xiaomi has rumoured to be working on foldable smartphone after the announcement of Samsung Fold at #SDC18 last year. The company President and co-founder Bin Lin, folding device on social media. It shared a video which shows a prototype upcoming smartphone in action.

The Xiaomi foldable smartphone does not have a center parting but two folds that is divided into three panels. The foldable smartphone has a unique symmetrical double facing design which requires users to fold the smartphone from both the edges to shift from tablet mode to smartphone.

Also the video shows the device with very thin bezels whose chassis can be folded from left and right edges to switch from tablet to smartphone mode.
