Nigerian logistics startup, Kobo360, which raised $6m from the International Finance Corporation in December last year, has expanded its operations to Togo.

Kobo360’s Co-Founder, Obi Ozor, said in a statement that their mission was to build the global logistics operating system.

He stated, “This is part of our expansion across Africa which has been in effect since last year. Our mission is to build the global logistics operating system that will power trade and commerce across Africa and emerging markets. Togo is a key part of that drive.”

According to him, the visit to Togo is aimed at meeting with government officials, partners and interview applicants to fill several open positions in the company’s Lome branch.

Ozor said, “The roles to be filled include operations, business development, customer development, technology and others. The company will be moving into the Ghanaian and Kenyan markets soon.

“We use big data and technology to reduce logistics frictions while empowering rural farmers to earn more by reducing farm wastages and helping manufacturers of all sizes to find new markets.

“We also enable unprecedented efficiency and cost reduction in the supply chain, providing 360-visibility while delivering products of all sizes safely, on time and in full.”
