President Jonathan has approved the sack of embattled President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Isa Salami.
Justice Ayo Isa Salami who had been suspended by the National Judicial Council, NJC after five months of intriguing probe into alleged malpractice at the top echelon of the judicial arm of government in the country, last week, had found Justice Isa Ayo Salami, guilty of judicial misconduct and recommended that he be sacked.

we are not defending CJN of the corruption charges. All we are saying is that the rule of law must be obeyed. Nobody is above the rule of law. Not even the president in a democracy. If you want to remove him, go through the normal process otherwise the judiciary becomes a joke.

is left for the judiciary to mobilized and stop this impunity in its track or forever remain an irrelevant arm of government that the executive can fiddle with as they like.

Not when the CJN himself had agreed that he was wrong in not following what was stated in the constitution. That is a total aberration on the part of a whole CJN of a Nation. Such mistakes are not pardonable, neither are they acceptable. The most important thing is, he has accepted he was wrong.

I blame the framers of the Constitution. It's ridiculous to only confer immunity on the leadership of the executive arm of government at the center and the federating units. The Senate President and the CJN should also enjoy immunity... Otherwise, the whole instrument of immunity should be expunged completely so that everybody would be stark naked and fight dirty in the mud if need be.

It's unacceptable and insulting for one bloody fool that calls himself Buhari to arrogate to himself, the moral authority and arbitrary power to 'discipline' the head of another arm of government.... to decide who to target in his so-called anti-corruption fight and who to spare. The Constitution fails big time creating the loopholes that this despicable abokki animal is exploiting.

It would be recalled that Justice Salami held sway at the appellate rung of the Nigerian Judicial hierarchy till August 18, 2011, when he was ousted from office by the NJC on allegation that he lied on oath against the immediate past Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu.

Does what you wrote even make sense to a madman?

The NJC suspended him in order to carry out investigations ( as that is the normal practice worldwide ), after investigations, he was cleared by the same NJC and was reinstated. But to you NJC had disowned him and so the onus was on Jonathan to sack him.
