The case of the CJN is a very unique one.
He demonstrated rare courage, by admitting to crime, which is uncommon among Nigerian public officers. Admitting to crime is honorable and one will think that he will continue to tow that path of honour by resigning, but he did not resign. He rather began to use all of the legal loopholes and technicalities to cling on to the position. This will make one wonder what he was up to.
The Chief Justice's admittance is a clear demonstration of the AUDACITY of the Nigerian elites. It has crossed the line of honour to audacity. Nigerians should unite and halt this inglorious path.
Initially, the elites subtely denied their involvement in crime when accused despite glaring evidence, then they graduated to blatant denial and now the CJN has pushed the bar by admitting and telling everyone to go to hell , it's a new one and must be stopped.
Probably the CJN was embolden by the utterances of one of the frontline presidential aspirants who boldly told the Nigerian potential voters that when voted in, he will enrich his friends, knowing very well that he will still be supported by a good number of Nigerians, another example of Audacity.
The CJN knows that he will have people defending him. He understands our emotions and he is exploiting it.
