A professor of chemistry wanted to teach his pupils a lessen about the evils of drink, so he produced an experiment that involved a glass of whiskey, a glass of water, and two worms.

Now class, Observe closely the worms, said the professor.

He put one worm in the glass of water, and the pupils observed that the worm writhed about quiet happily. Then he put the other worm in the glass of whiskey. The worm writhed about for a short while then sank to the bottom, dead as a doornail.

Now what lessen can we derive from this experiment? Asked the professor.

Johnny at the back of the class, raised his hand and wisely responded, DRINK WHISKEY and you won't get worms.
