Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has pledged to site a refinery in Akwa Ibom State once elected president.

Atiku said the move is part of his plan to resuscitate the nation’s economy, which is currently gasping for breath due to economic mishandling by the present APC-led Federal Government.

Addressing the presidential campaign rally of the Peoples Democratic Party at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo, on Monday, Atiku regretted that the current APC-led Federal Government haD driven Nigeria to a point where the nation has been declared the headquarters of poverty in the world by the United Nations.
