2019 Elections: Ex-CBN Governors Aliyu Mai-Bornu, Clement Isong Speak In Edited Video

Dele Momodu shared this edited video of the two personalities on the 1000 Naira note, former CBN Governors, urging Nigerians not to sell their votes in the 2019 Elections.

While Clement Isong 'spoke' in English language, Aliyu Mai-Bornu 'spoke' in his native language.

They 'said':

"Good day my fellow Nigerians, please I beg you, don't sell your votes, vote for the right candidates, God bless you."

Many Nigerians have commended the graphic designer who came up with the idea and produced the video.

Some also argued over the message passed.

Mallam Aliyu Mai-Bornu (1919 – 23 February 1970) was a Nigerian economist, and the first indigenous Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Dr. Clement Nyong Isong (20 April 1920 – 29 May 2000) was a Nigerian banker and politician who was Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (15 August 1967 – 22 September 1975) during the military regime of General Yakubu Gowon.

60% of people on Nairaland will not vote because they don't have a voter's card. Out of the remaining 40%, 60% will not vote because of election violence or stress. The real election is won by the powers that be, it's won by coalitions and secret agreements. Religious leaders, traditional rulers, business tycoons, past political leaders and so on, these are the people controlling the results and the sooner we realize this, the better!
