Midfielder Denis Suarez will join English side Arsenal on loan from Barcelona.

The Spanish giants announced the move late Wednesday in a statement that was later deleted from the club’s official website.

According to the statement sighted by Mirror, the 25-year-old has also agreed a new deal with Barcelona to protect his market value should a permanent move to Arsenal collapse.

He will also reunite with Arsenal boss Unai Emery, who he worked with while on loan at Sevilla during the 2014-15 season.

Suarez made 71 appearances in three seasons with the first team at Barcelona, netting eight times.

He is a winner of five major trophies: La Liga, two Copas del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
