I will champion the protection of rights of women - Ifeanyi Ubah

Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the 2019 Anambra South Senatorial Candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), on Saturday assured Anambra South women that if elected, he will sponsor Bills that will protect their rights. The YPP candidate made this known when he met with women of St. Peter's Catholic Church Otolo Nnewi and Nnewi Diocesan Women of the Anglican Communion at St. Andrew's Anglican Church (DCC) Nnewi during their 2019 prayer conference.

While addressing the catholic women who were observing their monthly meeting, Dr. Ubah maintained that Nigeria shall be a better place if the rights of women are protected. The YPP candidate who frowned at some practices that are aimed at suppressing and intimidating women reiterated his zeal to use his office to sponsor quality Bills that will ensure that women are protected anywhere they are in the country.

After addressing the Catholic women, the YPP candidate proceeded to St. Andrew's Anglican Church (DCC Nnewi) where he met the Anglican women of Nnewi Diocese. The women who were in the church to observe the 2019 prayer conference gave a heart warming welcome to their brother with a heart of gold. While addressing the Anglican women, Dr. Ubah maintained that there can't be a strong or prosperous nation if the women are subjected to various forms of intimidation. He further assured them that if elected, he will use the instrument of legislation to protect their rights. The YPP candidate also urged the women to keep praying for Nigeria and ensure that they vote for YPP in the upcoming Senatorial Election so that the dream of protecting their rights can be achieved.
