AAUA students represent global mirror

The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, Prof Igbekele Ajibefun says the institution’s students have imbibed global mind and the institutions tradition of excellence.

He described AAUA students as good students whose ways and deeds reflect the University’s culture of excellence and distinctions.

Prof. Ajibefun said, “While some other students, nowadays, are wont to cut corners and settle for the less, our students have the virtues of discipline, excellence and good character. We have very good students who have imbibed the culture of AAUA; students of sound mind, who have continued to make the University proud in the various spheres. Our students are doing good and great in all areas. “

The VC made the comments, penultimate week, while featuring on radio AAUA 90.3 FM

saying, “Ajasin Varsity has a culture of discipline, excellence, and that students who are trained therein are instilled with these traits”.

“AAUA has a culture of discipline, culture of excellence and good character. A student who is trained in our University is expected to reflect these, and this explains why our students are doing very well when we release them to the world. AAUA graduates carry the sheen of the University wherever they go to.

“For instance, the Nigerian Law School has the consistent imprints of AAUA graduates and so it is in other sectors where our students have been enlisted. Lots of our Alumni have distinguished themselves.”

The vc who rated the institutions academic programmes high said the University was not relenting in upping its standards as it continues to review and improve on all areas of academic dealings.

He attributed the successes of the University to the commitment of the stakeholders, saying, “The University has achieved good progress as a result of the commitment of the various stakeholders. Every stakeholder is important, including the students and the staff.

The workers are a very important stakeholder in the University community, the same way the students are equally important. Without the students, there would be no need for staffing, and without staff, there will be no hands to train the students.

“Our members of staff are a great asset that the university has. Both the academic and the non-academic staff are putting in their best to ensure that we produce competitive and comparable students.

The staff have been cooperating with the Management and that is why the University’s academic calendar has been stable.” VC said.

BUHARI MUST GO INSHA ALAH AMIN
the first step towards progress in any democratic society is never to allow a failed government return to power. Even though I thought and knew Buhari was a higher evil than Jonathan, I was happy at Jonathan’s defeat, because it meant that Nigerians had learnt not to repeat failure. Whether or not the coming elections are rigged, Nigerians must once again show their power against an incumbent failure. This is a way to build up an ideology against bad governance and myopic leadership. It does not mean that I think Atiku is far better than Buhari, but I know that Buhari has done nothing that warrants his re-election.buhari runs a govt of 'blame game'
he considers himself above the Law and can jettison the justice system to be subservient to his service He recruited one of the most incompetent persons to serve as Ministers
He recruited certificate forgers and Law breakers to serve as Ministers
He appointed dead people into federal parastatals
He likes appointing old people to sensitive offices
He believes on the superiority of his ethnic group or region to other regions

The currency of the country was devalued under his watch as the currency lost more than 50℅ of its value on just few months
Under his watch, the stock exchange lost more than 50℅ of its value
He Encourages World leaders to deport citizens of his country that fled the country
They have to interpret English into English to him*
He runs away from intellectual discussions like debates*
He never established a single business close to thirty years after leaving power
He never wrote a single book, a sign of a dormant brain*
He never improved himself academically thirty years after leaving power*
He never suggested to any leader an idea as to how to make the nation better*
All he did when he lost election was to threaten the country
Lives are always lost due to his comments whenever he loses elections
The worst DISASTER in the history of the countryAs Petroleum minister, buhari has drained Excess crude account on 4 different occasion in 3 years, 7months and set aside N50billion NNPC account to himself. Yet there are no calls for Buhari's resignation and buhari says he is fighting corruption.
* Why were journalists barred from covering 2018 budget presentation by Buhari? Why was there no consultation before presentation of 2018 budget, between the executive vs MDAs and NASS. Till now, Buhari cannot account for N11trillion of 2016, 2017 budget. Where is the money? Yet there are no calls for Buhari to resign and Buhari says he is fighting corruption.
* Just about 10% of 2017 budget had been implemented yet Buhari had sought N8.612trillion for 2018 budget. The public does not know what has happened to funds meant for 2018 budget. Yet there are no calls for Buhari's resignation and buhari says he is fighting corruption.

* Where is the N10.9bn naira budgetary allocation for Aso Rock clinic.APC FAILED PROMISES
Ban on government officials from going abroad for medical treatment: FAILED
While he initially denied many forex to pay for their treatments abroad, President Buhari as of May 2018, had gone to the United Kingdom five times for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment. Apart from treating himself in the London hospital against the promise he made to end medical tourism by improving the quality of healthcare delivery in the country, his son, Yusuf was flown in an air ambulance to the UK for treatment of injuries he sustained in a power bike crash in Abuja. After his treatment, the boy was flown back to the country in a chartered aircraft; a situation which triggered a public outcry.
State and community: FAILED
While the government has largely paid lip service to community policing, President Buhari has led the campaign against the realisation of state police in the country. When asked about state police in an interview with Aliyu Mustapha of VOA in Washington, the president was quoted to have said, “I want the Nigerian Constitution to be consulted first and see what it says. If it says they should be allowed, then they should be allowed but don’t forget, how many times did we have to release money to states in the name of bailouts to enable them to pay salaries…” Asked whether he was convinced about state police, he answered, “I am not convinced. You cannot just give someone guns and ammunition, train him and refuse to pay him.

The medical sector does need a great revamping, our politicians going out of the country to get something that could otherwise be gotten here is sad, and these guys http://wingsofrescue.net have taken the initiative to help improve medical care in the country.

SAI HURICANE ATIKU.before Mr Buhari assumed office as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he swore an oath to defend and promote the Constitution of the country but unfortunately we have watched helpless as the president has trampled under his feet both the Constitution and the rule of law which he was elected to uphold in the following cases:
a) Outright disrespect to the principle of federal character in the appoint of principal officers to head government agencies, with over 80% of key officers from the north
b) Unlawful detention of the Islamic cleric leader, El Zakzakky against existing court orders granting his release
c) unlawful detention of Sambo Dasuki, despite court ruling granting his release on bail
d) Unconstitutional removal of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen contrary to the provision of the Constitution that only a recommendation from the NJC or 2/3 majority of the Senate, but rather relying on an ex-parte order from Justice Umar who is also under investigation from the EFCC and having a case at the court, to perpetuate the illegality
