SIR,
PETITION AGAINST THE DEPLOYMENT OF CSP JOHN INYANG ABIA AS ESIT EKET DIVISIONAL POLICE OFFICER (DPO): A THREAT TO PEACE, SECURITY, AND OBVIOUS PLOT BY APC AND POLICE TO TRUNCATE DEMOCRACY IN ESIT EKET LGA.


It is obvious that your resounding track record and distinguished characteristic as a top brass officer of the Nigeria police have hitherto remain the bedrock of your elevation to highest echelon in the the Nigeria police.


Sir, over the years, the people of Esit Eket have uninterruptedly experienced harmonious and peaceful co-existence amongst selves, not until when the news of the deployment of CSP John Inyang Abia; as the new DPO in charge of the area.

Sir, it is glaring that CSP John Inyang Abia whose last posting was the DPO of Uruan LGA is the biological brother to Hon. Eyo Inyang Abia; the APC flag-bearer for Esit-Eket /Ibeno state constituency in the forthcoming elections.

Sir, we are also informed that (CSP John Inyang Abia) will officially resume in office as the new DPO from Monday 11th 2019.
Nevertheless, we acknowledge his dedication to duty and professionalism as a senior police officer.

Sir, for the overall interest of the people of Esit Eket, we demand for immediate reversal of CSP John Abia's deployment to Esit Eket by the state police boss considering his biological relationship with (Eyo Inyang Abia), who is equally contesting for the state house seat under the APC platform can possibly marred the entire process.

Howbeit, the people of Esit Eket unequivocally wish to state here that the sudden transfer of CSP John Abia, the (blood brother to the APC candidate) vis-a-vis forthcoming general elections substantially portrays APCs tyrannic and clandestine plot to intimidate, harrass and disenfranchise the electorates in other to rig the forthcoming elections to their favour with the help of the police.

Having viewed critically the detrimental effect of the police and APCs alliance and its imminent danger as it relates to the existing peace and unity enjoyed by the people of Esit Eket, we make bold to submit that we will within the confines of the law resist every illegal attempts by the APC to use the police as their election rigging mechineries.

Sir, our appeal to you as the Inspector General of Police for immediate reversal of CSP John Abia's deployment is to enable the enthronement of justice, fairness and equity through out the entire electioneering process.

We wish to use this medium to announce to the world that the evil plot by APC to truncate the existence of democracy in Nigeria and Esit Eket following the deployment of a chief supretendent of police who is the biological brother to the APC candidate for Esit Eket / Ibeno State constituency; Hon. Eyo Inyang Abia, as the new DPO in Esit Eket tantamount to threat to democracy, peaceful coexistence and fair elections.

Upon the above, the people of Esit-Eket in strong terms are opposed to the deployment of CSP John Inyang Abia as the DPO prior to the general elections.

We are by this petition calling on the Inspector General of Police to immediately intervene towards ensuring the immediate transfer of CSP John Inyang Abia else the people will massively protest to defend their right against the police and APC's gangup to truncate democracy and to victimise the people of Esit Eket LGA.
