The Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Godswill Akpabio has caused public outrage after he stormed his party's campaign ground brandishing machete, a symbol of war in locality.

Igbere TV reports that the ex minority leader in the senate and APC Senatorial Candidate for Ikot Ekpene, who is notorious for turning Akwa Ibom into a mafia state during his era as governor of the state with several cases of politically motivated assassinations and murder, is currently under heavy fire for coming to the campaign ground with such dangerous weapon, an act seen as a demonstration of what to come during the election.

Akpabio had days after his defection from PDP to APC boasted that APC will take over the state by maximum force similar to 'Warsaw' invasion during the Second world war.

Few day ago, Senator Akpabio also came under heavy criticism after he boycotted the signing of peace accord by candidates and their political parties held in the state on Wednesday ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Igbere TV had reported that Senator Akpabio and Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress, Nsima Ekere snubbed the event.

Igbere TV recalls that Nsima Ekere caused public outcry after he had earlier received guns and other ammunitions from his supporters in Ikot Ekpene as souvenir during a political rally by the APC.

The embattled candidates has also been criticized for their role in the multiple violence and gory protests which followed Ekere's nomination as guber candidate of the APC.

Each time I looked at Akpabio, I will not but thank God that I am not a politician.
The man has no integrity at all.
Gov wike is another mistake of a person but his case for those in PH to judge.

Akapabio seem verrrrrrrrrrry frustrated, full of himself and confused. He's still yet to come to the reality that the governor he single-handedly hand-picked no longer answers to him.

Everything about him reeks of pride; he literally sees himself as a god. If you doubt me, go and look for his campaign video and see how he praises himself and calls himself 'leader' and say other silly things.

He is a respected Annang man,
Annang people dont joke with machetes, the play and fight with machetes, its part their tradition, Ngwa people of Abia state their(next door neighbours) felt the mysterious machetes massacre during the bloody boundry crisis with Ikot Umo Essien in Essien Udim LGA in the past, which happens to be Akpabio's LGA

plz this is not sending the right message, we as people need to call our politicians (APC, PDP, APGA etc.) to order, they are icons that kids look up to.

Always manifesting or promoting violence, bloodshed or overt killings.Recall these have been the notorious characteristic of all APC primary or campaign rallies nationwide?
