PoliticsCan Fayose Complete His 2006 Tenure? by 500samuel(op): 11:45am On Apr 16, 2015
Since the day the highest court in the land gave judgement that the impeachment of His Excellency Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose in 2006 was illegal, I keep asking myself a question which i will like the legal luminaries and scholars to help me out. Can fayose be allowed to complete his 2006 tenure that he did not complete before he was impeached.? He had 225 days I.e between Oct 16 2006 and May 29, 2007 that he did not use before he was booted out?

Just got the gist of what actually happened.

There is one deity called 'imale',the'imale' killed a man and his dead body was deposited at the shrine. Some young boys went there to cut the head of the dead body and took one of the idols away.
The'imale' has been killing the boys one after the other.About sixteen people have died so far.

Nothing like a disease OK.

Read, read and read again. Then as for low remembrance of things read, it is either you read without making personal notes or probably you read when you are tensed and stressed up. My advice is always make notes while reading, if possible, get a note different from your class note then make reference to your class note when reading. This aside, make sure you get enough sleep and rest before opening any book. For me I prefer reading in the morning let say 6:30 - 11am and any other time during the day. I hate reading at night, reading at night for me is a waste of my time. Pls get a convenient time to read, and don't read because others are reading. God bless ur efforts.

HealthAustralian Researchers Make Breakthrough In Search For Cancer Treatment by 500samuel(op): 3:28pm On Apr 02, 2015
An Australian-led team researching into the world’s prostate cancer announced on Thursday in Melbourne, that tracking and stopping the spread of disease is a step closer.

Behind melanoma, prostate cancer was the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer and in 2012 it killed more than 307,000 people worldwide.

Prof. Anthony Costello, the leader of Royal Melbourne Hospital-based team said they have performed series of real-time tests on cancer patients, before arriving at the final conclusion.

He said the test was to determine that metastatic cancers “re-seed” in other parts of the body, spreading tumors and speeding up the devastating effect of the crippling condition.

“The research is conducted over a decade, using live cancer cells from prostate cancer patients throughout,’’ he said.

Costello said the current treatment of prostate cancer was on the right track, adding that the research, published in medical journal Nature Communications, would help develop more effective treatment.

“What it tells us is that it’s very important to remove the primary cancer if you can, if you don’t take it out it could be re- seeded from another metastasis,” he said.

“What we are doing now is saying if you have limited metastasis spread of cancer cells.

“We can take the primary cancers out and shrink those remaining metastasis by surgically removing lymph nodes or by stereo statically radiating the site,’’ he added.

Costello said the research also uncovered a “genetic signature” that some metastatic cancers cells share.

According to him, this can mean that cancers that are more likely to spread can be removed a lot earlier in the treatment phase.

“In the future, the aim is to detect metastatic cancer cells long before they spread, lowering the chance of the tumors turning lethal,’’ he said.

“The discoveries open the door for more effective tumor removal procedures, even if the cancer is in advanced stages,’’ he said.

I am sorry if this is not the best place to made my request known but the moderator can do the needful. i am of the opinion that international scene section should be created. The section will contain event happening outside Nigeria especially political and financial issues. This section will make us (house member) to be informed of latest international news as they happen and it make us to have direction when we want to post such news, it will also dis-congest political section. The proposed section will make it easy to compare events happening around the world with local event. Lastly, it will also make it easy for people in those country to give us first hand information as regard the news. Thanks. God Bless Ekiti state, God Bless Nigeria, God bless the Globe.
PoliticsNiger-delta What Next by 500samuel(op): 1:13pm On Apr 01, 2015
it is now clear and evident that Nigeria is
not united and has never been.
Nigeria was never amalgamated but
forcefully put together by the colonialist.
The northerners always want to
dominate,the westerners don't know what
is happening and the easterners don't
know what they are doing in Nigeria.
The eventualities and happenings before
and after the recently concluded
presidential election is a crystal clear
indication that Nigeria is being dominated
by one ethnic bloc.
There are a plethora of issues which
arose in the course and out of the election
which must be sufficiently addressed. One
of such is the issue of underage voting
and its constitutionality. I think it is not
just unimaginable but is a direct and
outright contravention of the Nigerian
constitution and so this issue should be
looked into and adequately addressed.
Another issue is that of the probing of the
Riverstate election which was agitated for
by the APC. The APC electronically called
for the probing of the Riverstate election
which was immediately granted by the
INEC(jega) on the grounds that there was
really no election conducted in Riverstate
and that the margin of win on the side of
the PDP is relatively too high but in
States like kano,katsina,Kaduna and
jigawa where same results were gotten in
favour of the APC, no probe was agitated
for. Just this afternoon a letter of petition
was filed by the PDP to the office of the
inec chairman but was discountenanced.
This goes a long way to show how
compromised, bias and tribalistic Jega
really is.if there will be any probing, those
northern States should be probed too.
I am really pissed and disappointed and if
this makes me tribalistic then so be it
because our northern counterparts are
not really giving me much of an option.
it is clear that the APC planned the rigging
of the election afore time. Therefore i
support the motion for the election
petition vehemently.
My fellow Niger-deltans,my brothers and
sisters I am of the opinion that Nigeria
should divide,we should split! That I know
is the only solution to our Niger-delta and
indeed minority problem.
A treaty lasts a hundred years(1914-2015
) and so Nigeria is once again ripe for
division. pls my Niger-Delta youths let us
not make the same mistake our elders
made. its time for the emancipation of the
Niger-delta, posterity will never forgive us
if we continue like this.
I want to use this medium to commend
our hon. minister Godsday Orubebe for
his courage and his undivided loyalty to
the Niger-Delta and for standing for the
truth.I want to say thank you and God
bless you are a real son of the soil and I
also want to say that I am truly proud of you. The people of Niger-Delta
are behind you all the way!!!

BreakingNews: Fight Breaks Out In Onitsha Head-Bridge Between Hausas & Igbos

Information reaching 247ureports.com from Onitsha, Anambra indicate that a riot has broken out between the Hausa traders staged at the head bridge in Onitsha and the Igbo residents.
Unofficial State Security Services [SSS] report have it that 4 persons have been killed in the fight.

According to available information, the fight started at 1:30pm following a misunderstanding between the police stationed at the head bridge and one of the commercial bus drivers operating at the head bridge. The police was said to have been hitting the driver’s bus with his AK47 riffle – and it then got stuck in the bus. As the police officer struggled to retrieve his riffle, the driver of the bus pulled away with his vehicle dragging the police officer in the process. The police officer’s partner, upon sighting his partner being dragged, fired his riffle and shot the driver dead instantly. The officers were northerners and the driver was an Igbo man.

The bridge head area immediately, turned deadly. The Igbo drivers and traders became angry and began attacking the police stations within the environs. They also targeted their anger at the Hausa traders trading at “Abatoir” – stating that since the Hausa peple have been killing the south easterners in north – that they remained calm – but today they are seeking revenge.
According to an SSS officer staged in Onitsha, the military and the police has reacted to dispatch anti-riot squad to the head bridge area to stop the riot. The SSS added however that as at 2:30pm that the security men have not been able to stop the rioting.
stay tuned
