Obasanjo, a war hero/veteran,who gave everything to make this country what it is today. A general-military head of state, who promised to return the country to a democratic/civil rule in 1979,snd just did that without adding a day!
Between the period of 1976-1979,that is approximately, 3 years, this great man turned Nigeria into a great nation.
All the Federal universities, by names University of that and that, with the exception of University College Ibadan and one other,and all the Federal polytechnics, except like the one at K aura Namoda ,in Zamfara state and few others were his creation.
Teaching hospitals, Nigeria Airways, NITEL, GSM, EFCC, ICPC, and a host of others.
In his war against corruption, he jailed his own IGP of police, his very own Yoruba brother!
As a human being, he is not infallible,as he nursed the ambition for 3rd term, which Atiku opposed him vehemently, and it resulted in his efforts to destroy Atiku.If however, he has realised his sin and has forgiven him, then every Nigerian too should forgive him. For God forgives us when we repent of our sins.
2nd mistake was his endorsement of Buhari, whom he knows very well cannot be a good leader as exemplified in 1984 after the over throw of Shagari! This too, he has realised his mistake and is trying to make amends or correct it. Look at the issue of cancelling of foreign debts.
So abuising Obasanjo, ask them a single thing they have done for this country, Baba is God sent to us all, a father.
