A Board of Trustees member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state, Ralph Okeke, has asked Ndigbo to vote massively for President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16 poll.

Okeke who made the appeal in Onitsha, said the president's achievements in the zone were more than enough for his reelection. He said the Buhari's critics were already making up their minds for him following his unprecedented perfomance in his three and half year’s reign especially in the zone.

Okeke, a two-term member of the House of Representatives, described the 16 years of PDP administration as wasteful, expressing joy that those years were being restored by the APC under the Buhari-led government.

"With what is happening on the Onitsha-Enugu-Port Harcourt express way, Nnewi-Okigwe highway coupled with tremendous pace of work on the second Niger bridge, even the most skeptical critic will agree that if PDP had done half of what is currently going on in 16 years, the situation would have been different today.

"The shift towards the APC nationwide is so strong that even the South-South zone which hitherto was regarded as the PDP strong-hold have joined the APC train," he said.

According to him, the South East was the most favoured region to produce the next President in 2023 courtesy of the "APC power sharing arrangement and Mr. President’s integrity."

On comments credited to Vice President Osinbajo and Bola Tinubu on presidency returning to South-West after Buhari second term, Okeke, currently the DG, Directorate of Contact & Mobilisation Committee of Presidential Campaign Council in Anambra, described it as mere political wishes.

He said, "The desire to have the presidency is the earnest wish of every zone in the federation. However, that does not imply that the APC as a party does not know the right thing.

"The statements credited to Tinubu and vice president were political wishes and strategy and they have the rights to that. As a matter of fact, they were being good leaders fighting for their people the Yoruba race and bringing them together under the APC.

"Power is not given on a platter; you must show capacity by fighting for and winning it."

Igbos are not ready to be President of Nigeria neither are they ready to be President of their own country.

I gave up that hope since 2018.

N'odi ndi Igbo ya di....I used to care but now,I don't give a rat ass.

One thing is certain, Buhari will get more votes in the East this time than in 2019. Maybe 10% this time, but even without thier vote we are cruising to victory, we can leave thier votes for Atiku consolation.

God bless the people's general.
God keep PMB.

If the Igbos are not important in Nigeria, Why then do they rally their votes at all cost?
