Nothing wrong with buying a car with financing. A lot of bankers do so and no one says it's for the gram.

Splitting your payments into easier monthly payments as opposed to a lump sum is actually financially savvy.

They are right to flaunt the car as one that they bought even if it's a finance lease because it is technically theirs as long as they keep up with the monthly payments or the agreement terms.
