It's nothing near peaceful in Effururn, Delta state. And I seriously wonder why this has not gotten more media attention. There has been incessant and regular gunshots mostly at night for like the past week and at least 1 person has been confirmed dead and a car was set ablaze close to Jakpa junction. Of course area boys have taken it as an opportunity to rob and torment the lives of innocent citizens. Residents are living in fear, market women are scared to sell their wares and shop owners have their shops partially opened so they can take to their heels at the slightest sign of danger. I really hope it doesn't get any worse than this. |
