Why Northern Stakeholders Forum Dumped Buhari And Chose Atiku by dre11(m): 7:02pm On Feb 10
by Kolade Adeyemi, Kano

The Director Action and Mobilisation of Northern Stakeholders Forum Alhaji Aminu Adam has advanced reasons why the group decided to dump President Muhammadu Buhari and chose Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the February 16 presidential election.
Speaking at a Zonal Town hall Meeting, held at Mambayya House in Kano yesterday, said they opted for Atiku Abubakar because Buhari had disappointed Nigerians.

According to him, the group vehemently supported Buhari in 2015 when there was so much yearning and agitations for credible leader who would move northern Nigeria forward.

He added that they were among the youth who orchestrated a protest in United States of America, when they suspected rigging by PDP in the 2015 elections, which apparently showed Buhari had edged over Jonathan Goodluck, calling on international communities to pay attention to the polls in order to ensure Buhari’s success.

He however said that when Buhari came to power, they later realized that he had failed to fulfill his campaign promises, especially in the area of fighting corruption, economy and security.

“In 2015, we fully supported Buhari because we believed he was the only person to move northern Nigeria forward. This is because we see that North is lagging behind in terms of development in Nigeria.
“Ironically, when Buhari came to power, we realised that he even preferred southern part of the Country to the North that gave him unprecedented votes. Buhari has failed to fulfil his campaign promises, especially in the area of economy, corruption fight and security.

“Look at how killings are becoming the order of the day. People of Zamfara have turned to refugees as a result of incessant killings. Likewise Katsina, Kaduna, Taraba, Benue States and other places,” he said
Adam added that, “that is why we have now decided to try Atiku Abubakar because we believed in his integrity and compassion to the masses. We also believed in his ability to perform better than Buhari,” he said
In his remarks, Chief Guest of the occasion, Alhaji Nastura Nasir Sharif, said Buhari is not the man of his words.

According to Sharif, Buhari claimed to have fought corruption, but it was later proved that the crusade is selective and he surrounded himself with corrupt politicians who even have cases at Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

He added that at the present critical situation that northern Nigeria had found itself since 1999, supporting Atiku Abubakar is the answer as he believed, would perform better than Buhari.
On his part, Ahmad Abubakar, the Organising Secretary , said the group’s stance followed the endorsement of Atiku Abubakar by some pan ethnic groups such as Afenifere, Eze-ndigbo, among other groups who had thrown their weight behind the former vice president.

The Northern elites know that the lifeless Kunù guzzling dry leaf is Born to fail.

As you can read clearly, they're leaving the good for nothing in misery. He still hasn't change one bit and think we're all his Barren cow's in Daura.

Atiku "Aguero" Abubakar is the man.
The PDP is the party.

By the way, where is the Akara frying Aisha?

You cannot package a bad product, Buhari is a bad product, so all those BMC agents should stop in trying to impose Buhari on Igbo's rather they should channel their efforts toward ammending his battered images which i doubt they will succeed.a country looks at another country whose model is working to adopt and twist it on plan to suit that model, we all know what China have achieved. Some Zombies are here making noise about Obi's choice of using China as an example.

this same group always SUPPORT CORRUPTION since 1999,
if buhari is selective in the fight against CORRUPTION, is because you are corrupt,

thief atiku is a wheeler dealer, he does not have the interest of the north,
the only thing pdp can offer, is to make our economy to become container economy, import driving economy just to kill the country like before.

According to Shettima,......it’s only the blind one who believes Buhari is doing better will stand and vote for him in 2019 but for us, we have gone beyond that, certainly, we will not continue like this.

“The rate of debt Nigeria has incurred is enough not to vote for them again, the level of debt this government has taken is enough for us to say no, the government has failed on all level.
