AgbariOjukwu1: Let's review the facts AgbariOjukwu1: How many slots were conceded? I know Olumide was given for south, and I personally dont like how Twinny replaced Mikhail Kazeem in the north but on the balance of scales tell me how many slots did Amosun concede to Osoba. AgbariOjukwu1: 'At the meeting held at the basement of the Ibara Housing home of the governor, between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm on Thursday, informed sources hinted that the consensus arrangement could be likened to a palace coup where the Ogun West elders were not given a free hand to choose whoever would be their preferred candidate, rather the power-that-be imposed the candidature of Adekunle Akinlade on them. None of the supposed Yewa elders could object to the decision of the governor, except Chief Tunji Akinosi, who was opposed to the imposition. He wore a sad look, while filing out from the inner room, the governor had an audience with them. But others could not raise an eyebrow, as they accepted the decision. The outcome of the stakeholders meeting didn’t have input of the Yewa elders at all,” a source said. Likewise, the aspirants (Tolu Odebiyi, Abayomi Hunye, Tope Kuyebi, Kola Lawal, Abiodun Akinlade, Suraj Adekunbi, Aderibigbe Tella and three others) were not given an opportunity to agree among themselves who should be their consensus candidate. Shortly after the meeting, it was gathered that the governor directed the elders to go to the residence of the Late Deacon Poju Adeyemi, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, to face cameras of television houses which included Channels, OGTV and others, and tell the whole world that they had chosen Akinlade as the consensus candidate.' This right here is called self-help. AgbariOjukwu1: Amosun is forgetting his history. He (Amosun) is a product of Bourdillon and he has so soon forgotten that his so-called detractors of today were his benefactors in 2011. He treated his leaders with scorn. The likes of Tope Kuyebi (Ogun West AC consensus candidate) and Prof Remilekun Bakare (Ogun Central leading aspirant) sacrificed their individual ambition to pave way for Amosun’s quest. Amosun rode on their back to become the governor and he has bitten the fingers that fed him. “Gov Amosun has forgotten that since his foray into the active partisan-politics he hasn’t been a party man. He has been leaving one party to another. At the formative stage in 1999, he began his political career with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he, in 2003, realised his Ogun Central Senatorial district bid and soon, he dissolved into APP, later ANPP and to CPC. When he could not actualised his governorship ambition he hob-nobbed with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pitched tent with the Action Congress (AC) which later metamorphosed into the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and All Progressives Congress (APC) He has always displayed arrogance and believed he is wiser than everybody around him in any platform he finds himself. “The most annoying part of it and it is regrettable, that despite Aremo Olusegun Osoba, former governor of Ogun State and the then, leader of the AC in the state never saw Amosun as a team player, he still succumbed to pleas, persuasions and appeal to allow Amosun fly the AC ticket in 2011, it took the interventions of Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Dapo Abiodun and several other stalwarts of the party 10 times to persuade and beg Osoba to accept him as the governorship standard bearer of the party. At long last, Osoba gave him a benefit of doubt and accepted him. And he and other aggrieved governorship aspirants buried their individual differences and worked together to ensure he win and governorship seat and it came to pass. “But shortly after had he assumed office as the governor on May 29, 2011 than he started behaving funny. He started abusing and attacking the people who helped him into the state. The first thing he did was that he rejected names of four Commissionership nominees Osoba sent to him, to be included in his complied list. “As if that was not over, he ensured he betrayed Osoba, Senators Gbenga Kaka, Akin Odunsi, Gbenga Obadara and other scores of other chieftains and edged them completely out of the control of the party machinery. He erected his own structure, made himself an emperor without an empire and started calling the shots AgbariOjukwu1: I agree. If Amosun cannot accommodate Osoba he will be schemed out of relevance and that is the battle that is going on now. The original owners of ACN are asserting their influence now to regain control of the party after making mistakes, Osoba included. The chickens have all come home to roost now. AgbariOjukwu1: why did he run away from the NWC sanctioned primaries? Akinlade would have prevailed there too so what scared him? AgbariOjukwu1:Governor is Osoba candidate the 3 senate seats where all Amosun's candidates. Himself, Lekan Mustapha and Odebiyi The 9 house of reps I dont know who they rest are but I know Mikhail kazeem was schemed out of his seat in Abeokuta North. The house of assembly situation was as a result of total non compromise by Amosun and that was what led to the usurpation of those results especially the real fear that Dapo cannot be having himself surrounded by all Amosun's loyalist. This also is as a result of the non compromising stand of Amosun who wants all or nothing. It's a supremacy battle and we will see how it all plays out. 1 Like |

Myde4naija: Please tell me, were the 'Lagos forces' the ones disgraced in Ogun on Monday? |
Re: Governor Amosun Reacts To Drama At APC Rally In Ogun by AgbariOjukwu1: 8:39pm On Feb 13, 2019 |
dyydxx: Lol.. Bro.. For you to quote biased newspaper reportage shows you don't really know what's happening. There are lots of things to correct in what you even quoted sef. First Twinny had always wanted to contest for Abeokuta North house of assembly seat and not Abeokuta north, Obafemi owode and odeda fed constituency. Twinny was to pick the the ticket in 2015 but Amosun insisted on Ojodu to repay him for his loyalty at the State house assembly. Twinny was promised the seat in 2019. But he went to join forces with YAYI group, later he went to ADC, Amosun was dissapointed and said Twinny can't be trusted.. Myself, Twinny, Amosun and Obasanjo are from same ward in Owu. Later ward elders begged Amosun to allow him back, twinny now gave a condition that amosun should give him some of the money he has spent so far. Amosun got angry and decided the ticket will go to Mujota.. Twinny joined forces with Osoba and he was given the ticket. Now to the Ogun West Elders. All what you quoted there is a bias reportage without any valid source. Senator Anisulowo and several others supported Akinlade. Suraj, kola Lawal are all supporting Akinlade.. Even Tolu Odebiyi agreed until he was persuaded to join forces with Osoba and Dapo .. Only Isiaq said No. Now to you saying Amosun was a product of bourdillion.. That's not entirely true. The arrangement in 2011 was more of a symbiotic relationship. ACN wanted to win Ogun State, they needed a popular candidate with wide acceptance. Tinubu knew only Amosun could fit in. Besides contrary to what you wrote up there, Amosun didn't join AC he joined them when they were already called ACN and neither did he decamp to CPC but he wanted to after Osoba was giving him tough time. In 2011, Osoba wanted Remi Bakare to be Governor, in fact he insisted. But Tinubu knew they will lose with Remi Bakare.. Amosun came second in 2007 with ANPP, despite the fact that most results in Ogun central were cancelled because Amosun won with a wide margin. ANPP won in Obasanjo's polling unit, the results were cancelled due to what inec called violence and obj was the president then. That was when I knew what they call election rigging. AC also constestd that election but they came a distant third despite the support of your Tinubu, Osoba and co. Amosun came second with a party many regarded as Hausa party then.. This is to tell you Amosun is bigger than your Osoba in Ogun Politics .he defeated your Osoba mercilessly in 2015 again.. Amosun is not a small boy in Politics, he is different from Aregbe, fashola etc..whom Tinubu tutored ...Amosun was already a senator when Tinubu was governor of Lagos. Bro next time always confirm your facts very well. Like I said earlier don't support impunity just because you hate Amosun. Osoba once nominated the deputy governor, three senate , 9 house of reps and 26 house of assembly seats in Ogun state in 2011 ...he wanted to do same with the local government election before Amosun said No and he was disgraced. If Osoba was a good Elder like you all want us to believe.. Why didn't his Sdp manage to win a single ward in 2015? Lol.. Osoba has no electoral value.. I just pity Tinubu for relying on him to deliver Ogun State. |

AgbariOjukwu1: Then Akinlade should win then if Amosun is that good and he is widely supported by everyone in Ogun State. APM should clear everywhere then. I will congratulate your on March 4 |

dyydxx: Bro, don't be petty. I haven't said Akinlade will win. I was only debunking what you said about how Amosun benefited from bourdilion. |
Re: Governor Amosun Reacts To Drama At APC Rally In Ogun by dyydxx: 9:56pm On Feb 13, 2019 |
AgbariOjukwu1: Honestly I wasnt being petty .... but you made it sound like Tinubu needed Amosun more than Amosun who needed the structure. If he was this good he should have won with ANPP...I mean he should have gone it alone with ANPP to contest the governorship. |

ShenTeh:who was disgraced in your view? Do you think amosun? If you are think that way u are wrong. |
Re: Governor Amosun Reacts To Drama At APC Rally In Ogun by AgbariOjukwu1: 11:16pm On Feb 13, 2019 |
dyydxx: I gave you the reasons why he couldn't win with ANPP, in fact till today, some are of the opinion that Amosun actually won the Election in 2007 but was rigged. I only explained the symbiotic relationship between Amosun and Tinubu.. They both needed each other not like the way you painted it that it was Tinubu that discovered Amosun. In fact Amosun almost left the ACN for CPC before the elections before Tinubu appealed to him not to go ...it was a mutual arrangement and that's why Amosun is different from Aregbe, Fashola, Ambode that rode on Tinubu's support... Amosun already had his support group prior to him decamping to ACN. |

AgbariOjukwu1: Osoba?is that one still in Abeokuta? My brother only brazen rigging can make APC win gubernatorial election in Ogun state, though I don't see APM or PDP winning it as well,Am just afraid because as thing is now Only ADC look like serious party in Ogun state, and i see ADC as extension of PDP |
Re: Governor Amosun Reacts To Drama At APC Rally In Ogun by AgbariOjukwu1: 5:50am On Feb 14, 2019 |
haffaze777: Exactly....That's my fear too. Most of the guys campaigning under ADC used to be PDP members. 1 Like |
