…400 arrested in hideouts

The police in Akwa Ibom state on Friday morning arrested 400 thugs in Uyo, the state capital. The thugs were arrested in their hideout in D’Angelo Hotel, Ewet Housing Estate.
Police inspector Jeremiah Dogo said the ‘arrest was made possible by the deployment of extra policemen to the state by the IGP.’

Inspector Dogo said that the suspects confessed that they were brought in from Bayelsa and Rivers states by PDP chieftains to help rig the general elections.

The hotel where the thugs were nabbed is owned by Mr. Kenneth Okon, former chairman of Etinan LGA and a PDP chieftain in the state, popularly known as White Wayas. The suspects are mostly Ijaw and Kalabari indigenes. Guns and ammunitions were recovered from the thugs.

Police say they have received reports of the various hideouts of the thugs and cultists that have come into the state in the last few days. ‘We will make life unbearable for them,’ a source in the state police command said.

The infiltration of the state with thugs and cultists brings to mind the statement by the director-general of the state governor’s campaign council, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (rtd), that the Governor Udom Emmanuel should prepare for war if he wanted to win the upcoming election.

The speaker of the state house of assembly, Onofiok Luke and Senator Bassey Albert had also said a few months ago that they would kill to ensure the victory of the PDP in the general elections.

Except they were caught with incriminating items, I see this as move to truncate and Instill fear in the mind of voters

The Police have left the ballot papers they apprehended in Kano state to arrest people that went for a meeting in the build up for tomorrow's election. As usual the Police we know would have paraded them should they have any incriminating item from them but this time, No.!

Do those in the pictures represent PDP executive in Akwa Ibom? Abi what kind of meeting could these young able bodies holding few hours to the election in an hotel?

Is not all about buhari and his goans telling you how the other person is corrupt.
Nigerians use your head.
Check the people telling you others are corrupt and make decision yourself, don't let people decide what's glaring to you...
