Following the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that it has postponed the 2019 general elections announced by INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu at the INEC headquarters, that its preparations indicated conducting the election today was no longer visible due to logistics, the Deputy National Coordinator, Buhari Campaign Organisation cum Country Director, Association for Good Governance Network, Amb. Hussaini Coomassie has expressed his disappointment and shock for the postponement of 2019 general elections.

Amb. Coomassie made this known in an exclusive interview with LEADERSHIP in Abuja.

According to him, the INEC leadership led by Prof Mahmood Yakubu should have announced earlier so as to avert people risking their lives and losing money for the sake of travelling to vote in our states of registrations.

He said: " For those of us who had to travel to various destinations to locate our voting units across the country, it is the height of negligence and carefree as we have prepared for today," he frowned.

Amb. Coomassie who is a strong believer of transparency and Good governance urges Nigerians to remain calm and resolute, especially President Buhari's supporters as victory is already assured.

"I urge the INEC leadership, under Prof. Mahmud Yakubu to put their house in order to avoid future occurrence of this national embarrassment," Amb. Coomassie added.
