Honestly any of the phones are very good, presently I'm using Huawei Y9 and it is the best phone I v ever use, however I have absolute trust in Xiaomi product as well and redmi note 7 is not bad at all. For me I think the battle is between redmi note 7 and Huawei y9.
Note 7 has type C USB port, fast charge 4.0, snapdragon 660 AIE while Y9 has face unlock, dual selfie camera, kirin 710 and Huawei have service Centre in Nigeria. That is the strength over each other.

Redmi note 7, for that price bracket no phone comes close o, nailed on to get Android q and it will enjoy so many support from developers and officially.

It all depends on your needs for a budget phone
Huwai y9 2019 is almost same thing with honor 8x almost same camera output, sound seems better with y9 dou
If you enjoy big screen and good bar3 go for honor
If you enjoy a great bar3 life and and good screen go for y9
The honor 8x is slightly faster on some app that's with some seconds
Then coming to redmi most reviews has accused them of trying to play the number game with note 7 camera as when compared to the y9 or 8x produced slightly or no better result as well other than that I think its cool also considering you can port gcam to it and as expected software updates might enhance the current cam output
The battery life should be good because most redmi note are known for that, with Android pie and a larger xioami community support i will pick the redmi
