EXACTLY! The problem of calling them "Independent" when they are not should be addressed by moving them to Judiciary where elections are not held for it's members.

In many true democracies, important organs of their national way of life and put under the Judicial branch of government. Think of the FBI in the United States. They know a President or his associates could never truly be investigated except the FBI were under the Judicial branch of government.

The only way Nigeria can be great is when elections are credible.

The tragedy of the Nigerian situation is that even if we make all the advances because we had decent men as Presidents, it takes only one undemocratic person as president to rubbish the years of progress made.

Therefore, we must institutionalize progress by making sure it is beyond the reach of whoever becomes President. That is why for INEC to become truly "Independent" it has to be under the Judicial branch of government.
