1. Set a spacious place
An area where you can build a home for your chickens, away from your neighbors to avoid clash with them is one of the first factors to consider. You have to put up a convenient place for them.
2. Purchase your stocks from a reliable hatchery or franchised dealer to make sure that the stocks are well managed.
Remember to consider this one; it is very crucial to purchase your stocks from a trusted dealer to ensure the quality of the poultry.
3. Chicks should be free from any diseases and deformities.
Keep in mind that the chicks you have purchased are free from any diseases or deformities. Of course, as a poultry raiser, you don't want to be worried about your chicks' health condition.
4. When you purchase, limit a number to 25 chicks only.
In purchasing your stocks, 25 chicks should be the maximum number of purchased. Why is this so? During the transport, it is wise to keep the manageable number of chicks in order to avoid unexpected casualty and damage with regard to the chicks' condition.

5. Choose the right feeds and vitamins
Having the right feeds and supplementing them with vitamins are the best tools in poultry-raising. Nowadays, most chicken feeds are supplemented with additional vitamins and minerals so be wise in buying the best products. Not only that it will nourish them, it will also help in developing their muscles and aid in their growth.

POULTRY LITTER

Poultry litter is a mixture of poultry excreta, spilled feed, feathers, and material used as bedding in poultry operations.
This term is also used to refer to unused bedding materials. Poultry litter is used in confinement buildings used for raising Broilers, turkeys and other birds. Common bedding materials include wood shavings, sawdust, peanut hulls, shredded sugar cane, straw, and other dry, absorbent, low-cost organic materials. Sand is also occasionally used as bedding.
The bedding materials help absorb moisture, limiting the production of ammonia and harmful pathogens. The materials used for bedding can also have a significant impact on carcass quality and bird performance.
