No one expected Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to take the Manchester United hot seat or even be the obvious candidate to have the job but United made a shocking decision by appointing their former striker on interim basis.

After speculation over the successor to Jose Mourinho's controversial reign as United's manager, club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær has taken over as the caretaker manager for the remainder of the season.
