Today Wavecrest college holds her 17th matriculation ceremony. Our reporter from Bertatch Solution has the following to say...

Wavecrest College of Hospitality is the premier Monotechnic in Nigeria offering education and training in the field of hospitality & tourism. The school was established in 1972 and has global recognition both in the UK and other hospitality schools around the globe.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony, the provost Ms Tana Foresulo encouraged the students to hold to high esteem the standard of hospitality, also ensure to focus on their studies and keep abreast with innovation in the industry, stating that the alumni of the school are known for good ethics and always in high demand due to the level of training they get from the school.

One of the guest speakers Mrs. IWU ANN AUGUSTA, a consultant in the industry covering Africa region inspired the students to dream and their dreams will come through. She also pointed out that the students should be creative and embrace LinkedIn as a tool to network with business leaders in the industry.

Wavecrest is focused on the girl child and members of the board were encouraged to sponsor more girl child so as to increase the number of women empowered in the society.

A parent Mrs. Eunice speaking to our correspondent said that when she discovered that the school has world class facility she planned for over 8 years to get her younger sister to study at Wavecrest emphasizing that the school has world class facility.

Another parent Mr. Prince said he was very happy to find a Nigerian school with the facility of Wavecrest and is please to know that the school is over 40years old with partnership to other school of hospitality in UK. Stating that he has high hopes that his daughter will excel at the school.

In 2018, Wavecrest won the Africa Times Excellence Award in hospitality and they are also 3-time Platinum Winner of the West African Tourism & Hospitality Award (WATHA) for the Best Educational Institution in West Africa.

Our reporter learnt that Wavecrest graduation is coming soon and everyone look forward to that.
