akermas ENERGY LIMITED IS SEEKING FOR MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE IN CATERPILLAR ENGINE AND GENERATOR.

JOB SUMMARY
akermas Energy is seeking for mechanical maintenance engineer with experience in the servicing of caterpillar engines and generators. The incumbent is responsible for Maintenance, repair, overhaul, and rebuilding of high-speed diesel generators and pumps within a sector of the Mission Area. He reports to Supervisor, Generator Unit on the proper delivery of related services, new facilities testing, and technical assessments, this role leads to the minimization of revenue losses due to meter inaccuracies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Repair, Perform Preventative Maintenance and Service all Makes and Models of Generator Sets.
2. Assemble and disassemble components.
3. Troubleshoot switch gear and paralleling equipment.
4. Complete service reports and parts orders accurately.
5. Experience working on Caterpillar engines.
6. Position requires someone who can work well with minimal supervision.
7. Ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
8. Apply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests.
9. Troubleshoot switch gear and automatic transfer switches.
10. Provide 7x24 "on call" services as required.
11. Installs and maintains the generator wiring, electric motors and machines.
12. Read and interprets mechanical drawings.
13. Overhauls and rebuilds generators.
14. Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs.
15. Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
16. Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts.
17. Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
18. Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience working on Caterpillar engines

EXPERIENCE:
1. 3+ years of commercial/industrial experience working on generators and ATS.
2. Experience working on Caterpillar engines.
3. Minimum three years of work experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of diesel generators in the construction industry, including experience with Volvo and caterpillar diesel engines.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook email/calendars
