All one needs to do is take a walk in the morning to see people placing hexes on others for slight offenses.

I remember many times just perfectly crossing the road alone invoking the wrath of ignorant cab drivers.
The men then immediately place vocal curses on me, my family and future generations.
A situation I saw once involved a bike rider and his female passenger having a minor argument regarding pricing.
She quickly proceeds to spin her hand in circles over his head, chanting God knows what.
I bet in her mind she was locking his destiny.

Though I am not religious, I believe the evil we do holds down our progress.
Benin City has stayed stagnant for years on end.
