The major critic being Bishop David Oyedepo while the major supporters were Tunde bakare, Sunday Adelaja and father Mbaka. People like Sunday Adelaja propagated the news that pastors collected bribe to support Jonathan. In all of this Pastor Adeboye was silent especially because one of his pastors is going to be the vice president.

From 2015 to 2018
The anti Buhari message became intensive on the pulpit in 2017 and 2018 when thousands of christians in the North were slaughtered and the president did nothing about it. More intensive when all service chiefs were all Muslims. Even Tunde bakare his one time running mate who also supported him in 2015 came out to criticize Buhari especially on his treatment of the herdsmen and the plan to create colonies. Bakare asked "who do you want to colonize"

Fast forward 2019 election
Almost every pulpit now whether Igbo, yoruba or Hausa men of God has taken time to tell people to vote for Atiku not because Atiku is a saint but because Buhari must go and Atiku is the only likely option that will make that happen.
