Early morning attacks on Maiduguri metropolis by Boko Haram insurgents were repelled by Nigerian troops on Saturday, the day Africa’s biggest democracy is going to poll to elect a new president. Another set of the insurgents also attacked a Yobe town around the same time, Reuters reported. “The situation seems to have been contained by the Nigerian troops.
