In truth, no one government is free from indignities, at least not in the context of Nigeria. The same problems that beset governments in other climes, are the same problems endemic in the Nigerian governmental structure and these problems form the major concerns which every government yearns to solve completely or abate remarkably. From the light of the above, applaud is due to the Executive Governor of Edo State, OBASEKI GODWIN. With an unswerving grit and passionate resolve, he has been able to reduce gigantic problems to rubble. Edo State, during previous administrations no doubt has been progressively developmental.

However, the increasing spate at which his Excellency has heightened these developments is truly commendable, not to mention the several blueprints evidently proferred by the Governor to ensure the sustainability of these developments. In any society, health is primal. One of the major contributions to unwholesome health is a dirty environment and this doubles as one of the most disturbing factors militating against the amelioration of deplorable heath conditions. The Excellent Governor has cleared up the entirety of Benin including market squares and other slovenly spots hitherto thought to be incapable of being cleaned up.

The road channels are a sight for sore eyes; he has beautifully worked on the roads to ensure good channelling and also created machinery to restore compliance with traffic regulations. This is noteworthy especially when juxtaposed with the position of things some few years ago. Comparatively recently, the security condition of Edo has been copacetic. An excellent job has been done in that regard thus facilitating the overall growth of the State. Administratively, no one can fault the inner mechanisms working assiduously to maintain the government and the socio-economic conditions of the state. Foreign investors have increased as well as marketing. Indeed, this is noteworthy. There are a glut of reasons for which the people of Edo State should be grateful.

Obaseki is an example of what a Governor or elected government official should be. The man has a good head on his shoulders..I'm proud and impressed with him.

I just pray and hope without any sentiment that the country finds a capable hand with innovative ideas like him at the federal level...then we'd be able to see what gains and potentials we are adorned with as a nation.
