A kidnapped corps member has regained her freedom in Anambra State, five hours after she was abducted by unknown persons in the 2019 general elections. 

The kidnapped corps member who regained her freedom, was released in good health. The state coordinator of NYSC, Mr Aremu Kehinde, who spoke News Agency of Nigeria confirmed her release, but however disclosed that her abductors are yet to be arrested. 

The corps member who was serving as a presiding Officer abducted early Saturday morning, at Indiokolo unit, Orumba North LGA of Anambra South Senatorial zone. A statement signed by SP Haruna Mohammed, the Commands Public Relations Officer (PPRO) and made available to journalists on Saturday in Awka, disclosed that in spite of the peaceful and impressive turnout, there were isolated cases of insecurity.
