President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, APC has defeated Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in seventeen out of the twenty-seven LGAs in Borno state

Declaring some of the results in Maiduguri on Monday, returning officer Professor Saminu Ibrahim said that more results will be declared in the next twenty-four hours.

The result of the seventeen local governments that were brought in by electoral officers to the Presidential Election Result Collation centre at the Kashim Ibrahim College of education Maiduguri.

Summary breakdown of the results of the two main parties includes:  Mobbar; APC 13,112 , PDP 280, Gubio: APC 10,207, PDP 510, Nganzai APC 6,804 , PDP 975.

In Magumeri it was APC 12,739 , PDP 692. Dikwa APC 17, 805 , PDP100; Guzamala APC 5,370 , PDP-521; Abadam APC 5,907, PDP 521, Konduga PDP 622
