Telecommunication giant, Globacom unveiled its new ambassadors few days back in Lagos amidst pomp and pageantry. The contracts of existing ambassadors were also renewed and the company introduced rave group artistes, P-Square as its newest ambassadors.

After (a very reliable source) made series of investigations and inquiries on the new deal, this is the amount each ambassador is to be paid for the next two years.

P-Square - N35 Million for two years and a branded Land Cruiser Jeep which will soon be delivered to them
Basketmouth - N30 Million for two years
Sammie Okposo - N25 million for two years
Ego Ogbaro - N15million for two years
Ramsey Noah, Kate Henshaw and Chioma Chukwuka-Akpota were signed for N30 million for two years. Other Nollywood stars were signed for N20 Million for two years or below.

On why D’Banj is yet to sign the contract.

It was gathered that his fee was reduced from N70 Million to N40 Million and his contract has lots of clauses due to his face-off with the company during the Rock & Rule concert series organised by Globacom. So far, D’Banj is still the highest paid Globacom ambassador; but it appears he is taking his time before signing a new contract.

In the case of Pasuma and Sunny Neji, their fees have been reduced by 40% and they both seemed not to be happy about it. This explains why they shunned the event and are yet to sign the new contract. They were initially paid N20 Million each for two years but the new contract reads N12 Million for both acts for the next two years. They have made their intentions known about the fees but Globacom seems to have taken their final position on the matter.

By now you have probably heard about P-Square’s multi-million Naira Globacom deal. After months of speculation, the talented duo were officially announced as Glo Ambassadors last week. During the ceremony, Peter and Paul were presented with their official Glo ‘jerseys’ and introduced to the rest of the Glo family which includes other Glo ambassadors who had their contracts renewed on the same day.

The event was another opportunity for the crop of Globacom ambassadors to reaffirm their commitment to the company for endorsing them and for taking such a commendable step to lift Nigeria’s entertainment industry to a higher pedestal.

P-Square, the newest addition to the list of Glo ambassadors, described the endorsement as a welcome recognition of the group’s contribution to the entertainment industry in Nigeria and indeed Africa, adding that this would spur the duo to greater achievements in the music industry.
. . .

Globacom’s Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr Mohamed Jameel, said that the engagement of P-Square as brand ambassador and the renewal of the contract for others showed Globacom’s willingness to always recognise the vast, shining talents that abound in the country.

some girls will work doubly hard now to make sure they snag these men by hook or by crook.

Pls post when you have facts, don't post when you have none to avoid misleading many. P-Square was paid N240 Million for the three years and the current renewal fee is yet unknown

endorsements doesn't really guarantee improved sales. Consumer behaviour is driven primarily by needs. Consumers are more concerned about how a product can meet their needs. If a musicians face is on a product, Y should I buy that product even when it won't meet my need? Don't no how people in glo and mgt generally view these things, but generally endorsements don't sell products at least not in nigeria
