This is truly a period of national tension due to the manner chosen by Buhari to rig the 2019 Presidential elctions.

Although Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a Muslim from the north, he is widely regarded as a moderate northerner who understands the multi-ethnic and multi-religious composition of Nigeria. Many fundamentalists identify with Muhammadu Buhari's approach to disregard any other ethnic or religious group except his own. The constant of result of the behavior of past leaders such as Buhari had been bloodshed.

It will be wise for southerners in the north to be very careful in the coming days and relocate their families now. Learning from Nigeria's history, another sad event is about to unfold.

Nigerians should come out and protest this rape of democracy! Nobody should be be intimidated by Buhari's threat to deploy troops.
