After winning the Senate ticket of Imo West in the just concluded National Assembly Election, coupled with the fact that the incumbent Senate President will not be returning and the likely event that the SP may be zoned to the South East after they failed to produce any Senator after the 2015 general election, the lot may fall on the incoming Senator Rochas Okorocha. Also not forgetting that he has sometimes back lobbied the post for the first Senator from the South East and from Imo, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu who was the only APC senator from the zone then.
