There was a serious drama at the 6 Division of
the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday,
as a group of persons arrested for alleged
involvement in election malpractice in
Saturday’s polls publicly kicked against the
action of the Army.
The group of persons, including the Rivers State
Commissioner for Urban Development, Reason
Onyia; and some INEC ad hoc staff, maintained
that the Army lied against them.
Other suspects — a soldier identified as Major
Ubah and a Police officer, Owen, who was said
to be the camp commandant of Government
House in Port Harcourt — stood their ground
that it was wrong for Army to parade them as
criminals.
The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations,
Col. Aminu Iliyasu, was speaking on the alleged
offences of the suspects when Onyia and others
cried that the allegations of election
malpractices against them were false.
The drama, which was beamed on a national
television station, also saw the Army accusing
the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, of
trying to compromise the Army.
Governor Wike and some ad hoc staff of INEC
had earlier accused the Army of intimidation
and disruption of Saturday’s elections in Rivers
State.

The same army that held an INEC staff hostage in the same Portharcourt in a bid to force her to falsify results, based on this thread on the front page - https://www.nairaland.com/5048124/how-soldiers-scattered-collation-results.
Truly, GEJ was the last democrat Nigeria had as a president. Now they are arresting people who, maybe, disrupted their interference in the election or didn't co-operate with them.
Africa is still 100 years behind in civilization.

For the people shouting Atiku should call Buhari and congratulate him, GEJ did that because he knew he conducted an election that was free and fair and didn't use his position as the Commander-in-Chief to manipulate elections in Buhari's strongholds. Now, the same can't be said about this election.
